Immortal Thor #15 Reactions
K, Listen. I know this came out weeks ago, and #16 is out on Wednesday. It's been a busy month and a half for me. I moved, started back at work and my master's program. But I'm back now and ready for some Thor (technically. You know why I'm really here).
Spoilers for Immortal Thor #15
Shit, wait. I don't remember the last issue. Guess that's what I get for waiting 2 months.
Oh, yeah okay. Reread my notes. Thor took on the wheel and Nyx fucked somebody. Zeus, I think?
And Loki almost fucking died! And we were all just CHILL ABOUT IT!!!
Oh. He's a wrestler now.
Thor if you kill them I'll kill you.
FUCK!!
Ugh, fuck OFF Amora
No, but it's decided by me, and I say Burn the bitch and bring Loki home!
Eeeeeewwww get off him and GO. AWAY!
NO! GET OUT!
Yeah banish her or kill her. Don't be more lenient with her than Loki. I guess unless it is Loki. Fuck I hope it's Loki.
Hey wait, is that just Loki? I was thinking the scientist was Tony but they're too much of a twink for that
FUCK it better not be Loki
Am I supposed to know whose body Agger is driving?
(As you can tell I don't believe Thor's successfully banished Loki for a fucking second)

About IchiRuki and "age gap" argument...
I don't understand why antis keep saying that supporting IchiRuki is immoral because she is a 150 years old ghost and he is 15 years old boy for several reasons:
Rukia may be 150 years old (although it's likely that she was being sarcastic because Ichigo insulted her and kicked her previously), but because Shinigami age differently and in unexplained manner (Unohana still looked young when she died even through she was over 1000 years old, meanwhile Gin went from a little kid to young adult after 110 years timeskip), she is mentally and physically supposed to be a teenage girl, just like Ichigo. She doesnt' behave like an ancient, wise and detached being, she behaves like a teenage girl-she loves plush toys, she can be quite immature at times (Ichigo thinks my drawings are ugly? Let's kick his butt!) and other characters treat her like a teenager.
Before somebody says "So using your logic, would it be ok to ship Ichigo with Yachiru", I will explain this. Sure, Yachiru is probably several decades old, she may be old enough to be Ichigo's grandma. However, unless you age her up, you will be hard pressed to find any Ichigo x Yachiru fanfics or fanarts. Why? Because Yachiru looks like and behaves like a little child. Kenpachi sees her as his daughter figure, Nanao and Nemu treat her as if she was a child, nobody ever looks at her and thinks "You know, I would like to date her because technically she is 80 years old". If Rukia didn't look like and behave like a 15 years old girl, but instead looked and behaved like 5 years old girl, I doubt IchiRuki pairing would be as popular as it is.
2. If Isshin and Masaki are anything to go by, it's not impossible for a ghost and a human to become a couple in Bleach. Worst case scenario, I am sure Urahara would be able to create a device that could either slow down Ichigo's aging, or he could create a gigai for Rukia that would age accordingly.
3. For some reason, I don't see antis using the same argument whenever Ichigo is paired up with Nelliel, Rangiku, Harribel, Yoruichi, Unohana and Ikumi. And those female characters don't even look like teenagers, they are supposed to be mature, adult woman in their 20s or 30s (Also, Ikumi is his boss so that's even more questionable). Only IchiRuki gets this treatment.
4. When IchiRuki shippers imagine Ichigo and Rukia living happily ever after, they don't imagine Rukia still looking like a teenage girl while Ichigo is an elderly man. They either imagine Ichigo and Rukia as full-time Shinigami living in Soul Society together, or Rukia choosing to leave Soul Society and living in Karakura with Ichigo like a normal human.
5. Romantic relationships between mortal humans and immortal beings are very common in fiction. Inuyasha and Kagome, Thor and Jane Foster, Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor, Eros and Psyche...heck, in The Walking Dead comic books Dale and Adrea were lovers even through he was old enough to be her grandfather. IchiRuki is hardly something unusual.

Rating Marvel's Disco Dazzler variant covers, as someone who knows practically nothing about disco or fashion.
Because why the hell not?
Amazing Spider-Man #55 and #56, covers by Luciano Vecchio. I have no strong feelings one way or the other on MJ's outfit on issue 56, but disco ball spider man? Hell yeah. I don't even mind the round spider symbol belt buckle here, and I usually prefer the symbol to be less round, and more like an actual spider.
The Avengers #17, cover by J. Scott Campbell.
I would like this a lot more if anyone other than J Scott Campbell drew it. God I fucking hate his art style so much. Still, Storm looks great, Thor looks like a member of the BeeGees (and I mean that in a good way) and Tony wearing an outfit OVER his iron man suit? A+
Avengers Assemble #1, cover by Anand Ramcheron. Perfect, no notes, 10/10.
Captain America #12, cover by Elizabeth Torque. I feel like the shield should be sparklier, but I dig the outfit.
Daredevil #12, cover by Scott Godlewski. Oh my god I didn't notice until just now that Matt has the Daredevil logo shaved into his chest hair, that's fucking perfect.
Deadpool #5, cover by Annie Wu. The fact that the red portions of the suit aren't sequinned is disappointing. Come on Wade, commit to the bit!
Doctor Strange #18, cover by Marguerite Sauvage. Oh, this one is fucking phenomenal. The colors, the patterns, the oversized collar and Eye of Agamotto on Steven? All absolutely perfect.
Fantastic Four #23, cover by Ben Su. Incredible Hulk #15, Cover by Todd Nauck. Miles Morales: Spider Man #23, cover by Karen Darboe. Don't really have anything to say about these, they're fun. Though Hulk should have chest hair.
Incredible Hulk #16, cover by Edwin Galmon. Ms. Walters, please crush me with your sequinned thighs.
Immortal Thor #14, cover by Lee Garbett. I actually bought this one, because hell yeah disco ball Mjolnir. Also because Immortal Thor is incredible. Al Ewing don't miss, y'all.
Scarlet Witch #3, cover by Jessica Fong. This one is absolutely stunning. The disco balls for her magical aura around her hands? The pattern on her clothes? The fucking stars? 100/10.
Uncanny X-Men #1, cover byPablo Villalobos. Dig the outfit, but I think the Soul Sword should've been disco ball-ified.
Venom #36, cover by Rickie Yagawa. Looks good, but I feel like they should've gone farther with the theme. Come on, give him some wide lapels!
Vengeance of the Moon Knight #8, cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli. Absolutely fucking perfect. The Mr. Knight look needed very little work to disco-ify it, and god it looks cool.
Werewolf by Night: Red Band #1, cover by Jeremy Wilson. X-Men #2, cover by Olivier Vatine. These two are pretty cool, but I dont' really have anything substantial to say about them.
X-Force #2, cover by Phil Noto. I am always a slut for Phil Noto, and I love how dynamic this cover looks.
X-Factor #1, cover by David Lopez. This one's alright, but honestly I can't help but think how cool Warren could look in a disco version of his Archangel form.

Ghost. - part 17: Team work (How to not)
My suggestion for this chapter is Sharks by Imagine Dragons
Part 1 here - part 18 Here
PAIRING: TVA!LokixOC
TAG LIST: @kats72 ; @mischief2sarawr ; @m3ntally-unstable ; @star-maker-rain-dancer
SUMMARY: Loki meets sombody at the TVA he once knew. Unfortunately she doesn't seem to remember him.
"Let me see if I understand correctly," O.B. took a sheet of paper and began scribbling on it. "Yggdrasil supports the universes; it’s the only constant within the multiverse, and so far, that’s clear to everyone. This means that there is always an Yggdrasil, regardless of how you look at space or time, because it’s the only thing that allows multiple universes, spaces, or times to coexist."
"Exactly," Lydia nodded while taking off her jacket and getting comfortable.
"We have the new Yggdrasil, created because the universe was collapsing."
"Which is a form of Ragnarok."
"So, this means the previous Yggdrasil is... dead?"
"Destroyed, yes. At the same time that moment He Who Remains died."
"But the loom didn’t collapse because he died; it collapsed because we stopped pruning," B-15 interjected.
"Indeed, it has nothing to do with the death of He Who Remains; it’s what we could call a temporal coincidence," Mobius put his hands in his pockets.
"You have to think of it this way," Lydia took the pen from O.B.’s hand and began drawing ellipses that touched at various points. "Odin said that there has always been a Loki, at different moments, in different world, who sacrificed himself by transforming into the tree and died after a while, and at that point," Lydia pointed to a spot where one ellipse intersected with another, "a Loki from another timeline and world created a new tree."
"Th-that co-could make s-sense," Timely scratched his cheek with one hand.
"It’s as if the tree had its own specific timeline given cyclically by birth, stasis, and death. At each birth, there’s a Loki, a variant, who creates it in his world, and at each death, there’s a Ragnarok affecting worlds of that timeline. In our case, though, the tree is at the TVA and affects all worlds, dimentions and timelines; and by destroying it, we don’t have the certainty that any variant of Loki would survive to rebuild it," Lydia looked at the others, seeking a nod of agreement “Even if we were to remove Loki from the tree, we can’t be sure there would be another Loki somewhere who’s already creating a new Yggdrasill. We’d kill the tree and destroy the TVA.”
"So how do we solve this?" B-15 was getting impatient.
"The tree is powered by a core: after a period of stasis in there, Loki, who is a god but not immortal, wears out, leaving a pulsing core inside, a sort of heart, which energy is bond to end eventually. We want to do a transplant: go back in time, take the heart of a dying Yggdrasil and place it in ours, so the tree no longer needs him to survive."
"But won't that cause a Ragnarok?"
"T-technically, it’s a-already h-happened," Timely adjusted his glasses, "otherwise, Loki wouldn’t have needed to rebuild the tree. You have to think of that as two lines that only meet in a point of time in which a tree dies and the other is created”.
"Exactly," Lydia nodded. To be honest, she hadn’t thought about it; the idea of causing the destruction of an entire universe to get Loki back was fine with her. But it was even better if it wasn’t necessary.
"You’ll need to be precise with the timing, though. You should extract the heart of Yggdrasil from the first universe, for instance, at the exact moment a Loki creates the other Yggdrasil in the second universe," O.B. pointed to the spots on the paper.
"And there’s another problem," Mobius pointed out, "we don’t know exactly where the tree to extract the core is. We know that in 2017 Ragnarok was narrowly avoided due to a war generated in Asgard between Hela, Loki, and Thor. That could be the moment the old tree was destroyed and simultaneously, Loki, as a variant of himself, recreated it here at the TVA."
"It all sounds very hypothetical, chaotic, and incredibly risky," B-15 sighed.
"It could work," O.B. adjusted his glasses.
"But we don’t know what might happen if we’re wrong," B-15 shook her head. "Sure, if it works, we could get Loki back, and we’d all be very happy, but if it doesn’t, everyone’s lives in every universe would be in danger."
"It will work," Lydia clenched her jaw, looking at her.
"You’re not sure," B-15 crossed her arms "and I don’t agree with putting everyone’s lives at risk because you can’t get over a loss."
"How can you be so ungrateful?" Lydia raised her voice, "He saved us, and you don’t even want to try to find a solution."
"No, because this isn’t a solution. It’s the desperate move of someone who can’t accept reality."
Lydia could only glare at her, fuming with anger.
"So, you all agree with this?" B-15 turned to the rest of the group, who lowered their gaze.
Traitors, all of them.
"I’m not entirely convinced either," Casey, who had been silent until then, could have kept quiet, at least according to Lydia.
"Perhaps it would be better to gather some more scientific data on the possibility of this working" O.B. shrugged, giving Lydia a sad look.
Very well. If they didn’t want to help her, she would do it alone.
"As you wish," Lydia cleared her throat, "then we should all try to find some other solution if you really care about him."
She grabbed her jacket and left the room. She hadn’t even reached the end of the corridor leading to the elevator when she had already opened the TimePad and set the destination: Asgard, 2017.
LET'S JUST ALL PRETEND, AS A COMMUNITY, THAT THIS MAKES SENSE. I JUST HAD FEW IDEAS AND REALLY CONFUSED. BUT U KNOW WHAT, IF THE MARVEL STUDIOS CAN CREATE SUCH A CAOS MESSING WITH TIME-TRAVELLING AND SUCH, I FEEL ENTITLED TO DO MY SHIT AS USUAL THANK YOU TO ALL MY READERS <3

Do you know who Dario Agger is? I ask because he’s playing a major role in Al Ewing’s The Immortal Thor. In my opinion, he’s honestly the best villain Thor has ever had.
I didn't know who he was. I looked him up a bit and he seems interesting. He would be a good match for Thor. :)
Screenrant thinks he should be included in Thor5 since Roxxon has been teased long ago!
But he is an Earth-bound villain if I'm understanding correctly. I'm curious to know why you think he is a good villain in the comics, and if he's in Thor5 - who should play him? :)

Thor's Lament: A Poem
Spoilers for The Immortal Thor issue 15.
Sleep seeps into my bones,
Turning my blood to syrup
As it pulses slowly through my heart.
My energy rolls off of me
Like sweat turning to water vapor.
I have spent too much this day,
More than I have to give,
Yet more than weariness bows my shoulders
And makes my head pound as we step
Into the blinding brilliance of my home.
Did I do right? Have I made the correct
Judgment, sibling-subject-enemy?
Your mischief and riddles echoes too much
The you of so long ago.
And it fills me with unease, Loki.
I promised to trust you, and I do. I swear it.
But you scare me anyway, and once
When you were a different you,
You bade me promise you something else:
That I kill you, if you became as before.
We have had that out already,
In a cycle that has fully turned
Like the wheel I now wear.
Each of us passed into nothing,
Asgard itself crumbling and rising again.
I will not try to kill you, for I know now
The regret and grief would all but kill me too.
Even now, deep in my tired heart,
The loneliness threatens to swallow me.
Can I contain this, too, outside myself?
Still I know you, Loki, and well I know
That banishment will not hold you
As long as death could, though even death
Cannot hold you permanently, can it?
I wonder how you will be changed when you next return.
#it's been a long time since i wrote a post-issue poem#as usual i'm not overly thrilled with how this turned out#i think the style is different from the others#probably due to the two original projects i was working on in between this and the last poems#anyway first one (iirc) from thor's pov#loki#loki comics#marvel comics#the immortal thor 15#the immortal thor spoilers#the immortal thor#al ewing comics#my writing#character study poetry#just in time for the next issue to disprove all my thoughts

Nimona doesn't act like a child.
I've seen some people discuss explanations for Nimona acting like a child despite being incredibly old chronologically. But I think it's just a misinterpretation of her behavior. Nimona is more like Thor in Thor: Love & Thunder. They are both incredibly ancient, potentially immortal, powerful entities with no sense of purpose in life. I think the behavior that makes Nimon seems childish to some, is just the way she doesn't take anything seriously. Everything is a game to her. Jokes are always appropriate. But I think this is just because she has literally nothing to fear. People can't kill or even hurt her. She has no responsibilities, and by default she expects to be socially outcast by everyone, so she doesn't fear social repercussions either. On top of that, she's still particularly competent, clever, and totally self-sufficient, unlike someone with the mind of a young adolescent. On top of this, I see some people insisting that she and Ballister have a Father-Daughter like relationship, which I think is an interpretation heavily dependent on this view of Nimona as more childlike. In my opinion their relationship is more like two outcasts becoming friends. There is not power dynamic between them. Neither is primarily a caretaker of the other. Their relationship in the film consists of two things. 1. working together 2. hanging out and doing fun things like board games and silly dances (there's actually a streamer duo I watch on Kick who Ballister and Nimona really really remind me of. They're called Ahrelevant and DariusIRL. Ahrelevant is like a slightly less sad version of Ballister, and Darius is like if Nimona was an E-boy goblin) Nimona takes a form that reads as adolescent, but I don't think that's a reflection of her maturity. It's not something she's locked into. At any point she could change to look any age. If I had a choice as a ~15 year old girl, to stop aging, I probably would have, If not for the fact that I care about having normal romantic and sexual relationships with age appropriate partners. Nimona on the other hand has always been a lonely outcast, so If she does have some interest in relationships, the opportunity for one may have never presented itself. So she would have never had a need to consider that in her choice of appearance.

20 questions for fic writers
tagged by @mrv3000
1. how many works do you have on Ao3? 195
2. what's your total Ao3 word count? 403 068
3. what fandoms do you write for? percy jackson and the olympians, heroes of olympus, trials of apollo, kane chronicles, magnus chase and the gods of asgard, nevermoor, her royal highness, roots of chaos, x-men (films mostly but some comic bleedover), avatar the last airbender, the legend of korra, the kyoshi novels, marvel cinematic universe, bbc ghosts, a song of ice and fire, doctor who, the locked tomb, star wars (prequels mostly), spiderman comics, rosewood chronicles, derry girls, dc (vaguely, comics)
4. what are your top five fics by kudos?
rot with all the burnouts in the cell (dc marvel crossover)
oh my brother, my brother, my brother (who have you become in the wake of all that's happened?) (star wars timetravel)
breezeblocks bricking up my heart (my take on a dadneto reveal)
water into wine (five times percy was the son of dionysus and one time he was the son of poseidon)
5. do you respond to comments? i do my best
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
that's relative and i have so many fics that this probably isn't accurate but by my own measure it's probably don't want to fight the tide (nevermoor fic, being immortal sucks)
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
again that's relative but i'd say there's a million roads to rediscover (pjo/hoo five times jason missed his sister, and one time he saw her again)
8. Do you get hate on fics?
occasionally i get like smarmy comments like one on a certain fic that the timeline didn't line up (it did + i had page references + it was tagged canon divergence anyway) but not really
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
i have one so ig lesbian threesomes??
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
i write so many crossovers i love putting characters in situations. probably rot with all the burnouts in the cell since it involved a ton of drama
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not that i'm aware of
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
i think one of them but i can't remember which one. (technically this is studying) i'm trying to translate a few of my drabbles into scots gaelic
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
in part like it got started and then i got ghosted before anything else happened
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
the couple i've written the most about is a tie between morridence, fierrochase, and jadie, but i'd say i get the most feelings about ruegard
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Great the Roman is coming up to its third year anniversary this month and i only hit the halfway point a few months ago so we'll see
16. What are your writing strengths?
lesbians. probably emotional stuff if i'm being serious
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
plot. its part of the reason i only do oneshots about 1k-3k but i'd like to work on more big fics. part of the reason was i started a bunch back in 2021 and i'm still working on two of them
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
one of my fics has some dialogue in scots gaelic but i cannot remember for the life of me if its supposed to be 'S ann or 'S e form and its haunting me
19. First fandom you wrote for?
fun fact: i originally wrote on wattpad and published a fierrochase fic on the release day of the hammer of thor. it's called fierrochase and it Sucks but it might actually be the first one ever which is fun if not slightly haunting
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
well you don't know me. but i know you it's a asoiaf time travel fic from the pov of people who don't know. i feel like i really pushed myself with characterisation on it
tagging people who i think write fic @tragedykery @lesmiserablol @oh-hush-its-perfect @thebigqueer @aphrodititi @ethannku @speedytherandom
